Thanks for writing in, James.
That must have been impressive getting to see her live in action way back in the day.
Time sure flies, doesn't it?!
Thanks again for sharing your story.

Great video on Linda. I saw her at the Stockton Top Ten Championship in 1978. I was 18 and just a blue belt. She really stood out as a tough fighter. I was really impressed and actually scared of her. She was so disciplined and hardcore and showed respect. I know she won or was disqualified because she knocked her opponent down and I don't think the girl could continue. Also the interview with all the old school karate champions featured Linda. I don't think she got the credit she deserved. She should have been featured a lot more on the cover of the karate magazines during the 70s and 80s.

OK, now that is amazing! Dedication and discipline!! So cool that Linda found her calling - martial arts - and stuck to it. She's had nothing but success. Her achievements are outstanding. What a fantastic role model! I've come to martial arts late in my life, but I intend to continue with my training. I love jiu jitsu, muay thai and boxing. Oh, and I do wrestling too when I have time and energy to spare.
