Happy St. Patrick’s Day And Irish Stick (Shillelagh) Fighting
Saint Patrick is generally recognized as the patron saint of Ireland and today and only everybody is Irish, right?!
Well, let me tell you that I too will be celebrating St. Patty’s or St. Paddy’s with friends today.
This is going to be a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to it.
In the midst of it all I am not forgetting you, my loyal readers, by sharing some information with you on Irish Stick Fighting.
Yes, there is such a thing and it’s not about a bunch of drunks beating each other up with barstool legs. Not that something like never happened. Anyway ….
I found this very cool video clip demonstrating Irish Stick (Shillelagh) Fighting and featuring Master Glen Doyle, who is a leading authority on this fighting art.
”Wishing you a rainbow for sunlight after showers -
Miles and miles of Irish smiles for golden happy hours -
Shamrocks at your doorway for luck and laughter too
And a host of friends that never ends each day your whole life through!”
